If you're feeling Korean-Chinese good, this place is such a great option! We visited from Seattle and happy we stopped here for lunch.
Food: there's good food and then there's extraordinary food. I say this place has extraordinary food. We got Combo A which is enough for ~4 ppl and Noo reung ji tang (crispy rice stew), and pan fried dumplings. My favorite was the Noo reung ji tang - which is humongous and good for sharing. Sweet, thick and smooth, melt in mouth flavor bombs mixed with complements of seafood and mushrooms. Jja jang myun was great. The noodle and the sauce both stand out significantly from other places I've been to in Seattle. You taste the boldness of the black bean paste. Tang Soo Yuk is a masterpiece. The flour I'm convinced has some sort of chewy rice flour that gives is an amazing naturally sweet tasty (without the sauce). Add the sauce and bam - you've got zesty citrusy flavors that sing in your mouth. My mother in law said it's better than the Tang Soo Yuk she's had in Korea. Go for it this place is great. Price is great for what you get.
Service: great and friendly. On the slower side but always available when you ask or raise a hand. Parking is easy. Went Saturday 11:30am no wait with five ppl. When we left at 12:30pm there was a line of people waiting. Come early :).
Bathroom is clean, meaning the kitchen is clean.
I'm coming back, all the way from Seattle! -

Korean food is one of my top fave cuisines, so when a lot of people that are the same culture as the food come to eat at a specific restaurant, it's a clear sign that you're up for some authentically delicious food! This Korean restaurant is located in a strip mall in the busy intersection of Lougheed Hwy & North Road. It was hyped up by a close friend, and when we arrived it was clearly a popular spot - there was tons of seating, but we had to wait for quite a bit (on a late Sunday afternoon, no less).
Indoors it is very bare, but it's nice when restaurants have an open concept. It was one large room with no sectioning off of any areas, so you had a clear view of everyone at the restaurant. We ordered the deep fried dumplings, black bean noodles, and sweet & spicy fried chicken (koon man du, ja jang myun and kan poong ki, respectively). The portions were HUGE! Definitely get your money's worth here, and the food was super satisfying! The dumplings were packed with filling, and although I prefer my fried chicken to be crispy and sauce on the side, it was still really enjoyable as it wasn't too spicy.
My only critique was that the ja jang myun was a bit mild in flavour, I was expecting the sauce to be more savory (as I've had it before with a saltier & meatire flavour). The noodles were perfectly cooked though, and I loved the large helping of onions that you get!
I will definitely come back when I can, hopefully at a time when it's not so busy! -

A pretty small restaurant tucked away in a shopping mall, Hee Rae Deung's food really surprised me! When I was seated and saw the menu introducing the restaurant's Korean Chinese food, I was rather confused. So I asked for suggestions on what to order.
I ended up getting the seafood fried rice and a combo. The portion was HUGE! The fried rice was very delicious and the black sauce on the side was not too salty. The combo was fine, and again came in huge portion. I was full after eating half of the fried rice.
Service was good and tea was filled regularly. The restaurant seems to be very popular with Koreans. That's a sign that the food is authentic. I will definitely be back for more Fried rice! -

Came here do to the high ratings and many recommendations from friends. Ordered the black bean noods with pork, spicy black bean seafood and the fried dumplings. Overall I thought the food was ok. Ironically tho when I had it for left overs it tasted alot better.

This restaurant is my family's go-to for Korean Chinese food. Their tangsuyuk is easily their best menu item, but the jjamppong and jjajangmyun are a close second! Portion sizes are generous and you'll always leave feeling satisfied.
Expect wait times of 20 minutes or so during peak hours.
